The Cameri Theatre is facing a devastating situation because of the Coronavirus pandemic. The crisis has forced the entire cultural sector into severe shock, with far-reaching implications for the future of culture in Israel. Tens of thousands of workers - completely normative people, the people who drive the wheels of the Israeli economy - are on the verge of starvation.
The Theater has recently set up a special fund to help these workers. The theater raises donations for the foundation - in Israel and abroad. In the meantime, it's the only thing that manages to keep those workers with a degree of dignity, until they manage to get back to work.
The Fund is headed by the Theatre senior management, which overlooks that the funds being raised are given directly to the employees in the most efficient way. Furthermore, the board has set up a clear criteria for the funds eligibility in order to keep transparency and unity in these turbulent times.
Donating to the fund will make a real impact on the theater's Emergency relief fund. It will allow us to help our employees survive these turbulent times.
