One of Hanoch Levin’s most beautiful and oft-quoted plays that was first produced in 1975 and directed by the playwright.
The creators of the present production chose to transfer the 1975 neighborhood to Israel of 2017 whose protagonists represent Generation Y in all its aspects: they are fashionable, hip, live their lives on screens, on social media and reality shows, and find it hard to leave their parents.
Krum, a young Tel Avivian who returns to his childhood neighborhood after unsuccessfully trying his luck abroad, discovers that his former girlfriend Trude is going out with another man. His good friend Tugati is addicted to exercise and health. He marries Dufa who falls in love with Bertoldo, the Italian lover of her best friend Tsvitzi, who has become a successful model in Israel and abroad.
Felicia and Dulce, the elderly neighbors, celebrate life from bar-mitzvah to circumcision to wedding…
Krum’s mother longs for a grandchild, but Krum dreams about running away to Los Angeles with Tsvitzi.
